friends celebrate children being out of school for Thanksgiving, kids coming home from college, loved ones gathering together. All excitedly talking about their plans….all I can think about is the empty chair that will be at our table.

please pray and believe with us

  1. The holidays are so difficult! I am confident that you will find many things to be thankful for———I just wish that the ache would be not be so painful. You and your family will be in our prayers.

  2. Wendy,
You are so pure in your words & your heart. My thoughts & prayers will be with you, Ernie, & Zach & all the Mayo family! Bless you all & we love you!!!!

  3. Wendy – My heart aches for you. I know it is hard I do not know what pain you feel. I only pray that you will find peace that your son left an impression on many people. I will keep you posted on the donations we collect for our local Ronald McDonald house. I only wish that Zack were here to see all the joy he creates and ease your pain. Love, Mary

  4. I’ll be thinking of you and praying for you and your family this weekend. I know this time of year is going to be really tough. I think of you often when watching my boys (after hearing your stories they remind me so much of Zack and Nick) and it makes my heart hurt to imagine life without one of them. I cannot say that I know what you are going through but I can only imagine the emptiness you must feel inside. I’ll be sending extra love your way this holiday season! Alisha

  5. I will say a special prayer for you and yours this Thanksgiving. Have you read One Thousand Gifts by Ann Voskamp? It is beautiful book about living a thankful life no matter what the circumstances and from reading your blog, it seems like you have always done that no matter how sad you are – iit is amazing! God Bless you!

  6. We’re lifting you in prayer and request that you and your friends remember our family and the thousands of others who are experiencing the loss of a child during this holiday season and every day. Only our loving Lord can give comfort.

  7. My heart aches for you and your family. This must be the most horrible situation to have to go through. You remain in my thoughts and prayers.
    Sending hugs your way, Nancy
